Planning a move from Framer to native Shopify
Smokin Jon's BBQ is preparing to move from a Framer headless storefront to native Shopify. The planned scope covers the storefront, redirects, analytics and the foundations for seasonal marketing.

The Challenge
Smokin Jon's BBQ is a New Brunswick brand selling artisan sauces, rubs and gift boxes. Its existing store uses a Framer front end with Shopify, and the planned migration will bring the storefront into native Shopify.
The scope needs to account for the buying experience, product and customer records, existing URLs and purchase measurement together. Those foundations will also support future merchandising and seasonal campaigns.

The Solution
The migration is planned. Preparation focuses on the store structure and the checks needed before a switch, with marketing work considered alongside the rebuild.

A native Shopify storefront
The planned rebuild will move the buying experience from the Framer front end into a Shopify theme. Products, navigation and the brand's presentation form part of that migration scope.

URLs and measurement
Redirect mapping and analytics validation are part of the plan so existing links and purchase tracking can be checked during the move. Launch checks should cover browsing, checkout and a test order.

Merchandising and marketing preparation
The wider scope considers bundles, subscriptions, email recovery, search content and shopping feeds. These are planned workstreams to sequence around the migration and seasonal trading needs.
The Results
The project is in migration planning, with the storefront, redirects and measurement included in the proposed scope. Launch and commercial performance will be assessed after the move.
