What did not break
Every migration conversation eventually arrives at the same question, and it is not about speed. It is about what gets lost on the way. These are the answers from real projects, each one linked to the write-up it came from.

Migration case studies
Replatforms and CRM moves delivered for e-commerce brands across Shopify and HubSpot.
Our migration approach.
Five real steps, run the same way on every platform we move to Shopify and HubSpot.
- 01
Audit
We inventory your catalog, data, integrations, and custom logic before quoting.
- 02
Plan
We define scope, the 301 redirect strategy, and the app stack you approve.
- 03
Build
We build the Shopify store and rebuild custom logic on a staging environment.
- 04
Migrate
We move products, customers, and orders, then validate counts against the source.
- 05
Launch
We apply redirects, switch DNS, and monitor traffic with no downtime at cutover.
What gets preserved.
A migration is only safe if nothing is lost. Here is what we carry across to Shopify.
Products and variants
Every SKU, option, image, and price moves with the catalog intact.
Customer accounts
Customer records transfer, and Shopify sends a secure password reset.
Order history
Past orders, refunds, and fulfillments move so reporting stays complete.
SEO and redirects
A full 301 redirect map carries rankings from old URLs to Shopify.
Content and blog posts
Pages and posts port to Shopify with URLs mapped for redirects.
Apps and integrations
ERP, 3PL, and tax connections are rebuilt on Shopify APIs and tested.
when_it_is_not_a_migration
Sometimes the platform is not the problem.
Replatforming is expensive and disruptive, and it is the wrong answer more often than agencies admit. Two cases where we will tell you not to migrate.
The platform is fine, the build is not
Slow templates, a checkout that leaks, or a catalog the theme cannot hold. That is Shopify development, not a migration.

A free store audit reads the storefront and names the specific problems, so the scope follows the evidence rather than the assumption.

What does an e-commerce migration involve?
An e-commerce migration moves your catalog, customers, orders, content, and SEO from one platform to another. We extract data from the source, transform it, and import it into Shopify or HubSpot. Custom logic and integrations are rebuilt and tested on staging. We finish with a 301 redirect map and a monitored cutover with no downtime.
How long does a Shopify migration take?
A Shopify migration takes 4 to 24 weeks depending on the source platform. WooCommerce moves in 4 to 10 weeks, Magento in 8 to 16, and Salesforce Commerce Cloud in 12 to 24. Catalog size and custom logic drive the range. We scope your specific timeline in the audit before any work starts.
How much does a Shopify migration cost?
Cost depends on catalog size, data quality, and how much custom logic and B2B functionality must be rebuilt. A WooCommerce move costs less than an enterprise Salesforce Commerce Cloud replatform. We scope each project before quoting a fixed price. Request an assessment and we return a scope and price tied to your store.
Will my SEO rankings drop after migrating to Shopify?
Not when redirects are handled correctly. We build a full 301 redirect map from every old URL to its Shopify equivalent and preserve titles and metadata. Rankings and traffic are monitored after launch. We treat the redirect map as the most important deliverable, because lost rankings cost orders.
What data can be migrated to Shopify?
We migrate products and variants, collections, customer accounts, order history, content and blog posts, SEO metadata, and integrations. Customer passwords are re-hashed, so Shopify sends a secure reset on first login. Custom logic is rebuilt with Shopify Functions and Flow. We validate every import against source record counts before sign-off.
Is there downtime during a Shopify migration?
No. Your current store stays live and selling through the entire migration. We move data to a staging Shopify store, then cut over with a DNS switch and sync final order deltas. Customers see a continuous storefront. For complex platforms we use a staged cutover with a dual-write window.
Do you migrate apps, integrations, and custom code?
Yes. We map each app and integration to a Shopify equivalent during the audit and rebuild ERP, 3PL, and tax connections on Shopify APIs. Custom code is recreated with Shopify Functions and Flow. We document every replacement so you know exactly what runs your store after launch.
Can you migrate while my current store stays live?
Yes. Keeping your store live is the default. We build and migrate to a staging Shopify store while the source platform keeps taking orders. At cutover we sync the latest data and switch DNS. For legacy systems we add a dual-write window so no order is lost during transition.
