Shopify SEO experts who can also fix what they find

Most Shopify SEO problems end in the theme: collection structure, product templates, and speed. A report can name those problems. It takes a team that builds Shopify stores to fix them, and we are both.

symptoms

The problem

  • We ranked fine before the replatform. Then we did not.

Moves onto Shopify change every URL pattern a store has. When redirects, titles, and canonicals are treated as an afterthought of the build, rankings pay for it, and the drop gets blamed on the platform instead of the handover.

  • The SEO report says fix the templates. Nobody here can.

Most Shopify SEO advice ends where the theme code begins. A consultant hands over findings, the findings need a developer, and the two quotes never meet. The gap between diagnosis and fix is where months disappear.

  • Collections and variants created pages we never wrote.

Every collection, tag, and variant combination can become its own URL. Left unmanaged, a five hundred product store competes against itself with thousands of near-duplicates, and Google picks the winner without asking.

deliverables

Shopify SEO services, diagnosis through fix

The work runs on your live store and theme, not in a slide deck about them.

  • Shopify SEO audit on the pages that earn

Indexing, canonicals, structure, and speed reviewed on collection and product templates first, because that is where a store makes its money, ranked into a fix order you can hold us to.

  • Collection and product template SEO

The templates that generate every category and product page, restructured so titles, headings, and on-page content are earned from your catalog data instead of hand-written a thousand times.

  • Duplicate and variant control

Collections, tags, and variant URLs consolidated so one strong page ranks instead of a dozen weak copies of it competing.

  • Speed on revenue templates

Field data on the templates that carry orders, not lab scores on the homepage. App scripts and image pipelines are usually where the seconds went.

  • Content that captures non-brand demand

Buying guides and comparison pages mapped to what your buyers actually search before they know your name, connected to the collections that convert them.

  • Measurement that survives an argument

Search Console and analytics wired so movement is attributable: which pages, which queries, which revenue. No vanity dashboards.

questions

Shopify SEO FAQs

What does a Shopify SEO expert do that a general SEO consultant does not?

General SEO advice assumes you can change anything about your site. Shopify has opinions: URL patterns are fixed, collections and tags mint pages on their own, apps inject scripts you did not write, and most fixes land in theme templates rather than in a CMS field. A Shopify SEO expert works with those constraints instead of writing recommendations that die in a backlog, and knows which problems are settings, which are template work, and which are not worth fixing at all.

What is included in your Shopify SEO service?

The audit on your revenue templates, the template and architecture fixes it calls for, duplicate and variant cleanup, speed work on the pages that carry orders, content mapped to non-brand demand, and measurement that ties movement to pages and queries. The distinguishing part is that the same team doing the diagnosis does the build, so nothing waits on a second vendor reading the first vendor’s report.

Is Shopify bad for SEO?

No. Shopify gives you fast managed hosting, clean templates, and automatic HTTPS out of the box, which is more than many platforms manage after months of tuning. What it does have is defaults that need attention at scale: fixed URL patterns, collection and tag pages that multiply, and app scripts that accumulate. Stores that rank on Shopify are the ones where somebody managed those defaults. The platform is rarely the reason a store does not rank.

How long until Shopify SEO shows results?

It depends on your starting authority and how contested your terms are, and anyone quoting a date before seeing your store is guessing. Structural fixes land in weeks. Rankings move on Google’s schedule, faster where you already have authority and slower on a young domain. We scope the keyword map so the winnable terms come first, and the measurement shows movement or it does not. What we will not do is promise a month.

How much does Shopify SEO cost?

It is scoped like the engineering work much of it is. What moves the number: catalog size, how much template work the audit finds, whether content production is included, and how many markets and languages the store serves. We quote fixed against a written scope after the audit rather than selling a package, because a five hundred SKU store and a ten thousand SKU store are not the same project with different logos.

Can you handle SEO during a migration to Shopify?

That is the highest-stakes moment for it. A replatform changes every URL a store has, and rankings survive on the completeness of the redirect map and the preservation of titles and metadata. We treat migration SEO as its own workstream with its own sign-off rather than a checkbox in the build plan. If you are mid-decision, start there before anything on this page.
