Let a shopper stand your product in their own room before they buy

Shopify shows 3D models and augmented reality right on the product page, with no app for anyone to install. We build the models, wire them into your theme, and tell you which products are worth it and which ones are not.

The problem

  1. 01
People cannot tell if it will fit.

A width and a depth in a spec table are not a mental picture. The shopper is standing in the room with a tape measure, guessing, so they either message you to ask or they buy it and send it back.

  2. 02
The returns all say the same thing: it looked different online.

Colour, scale and finish are exactly what a photograph flattens. On furniture and equipment that return costs you the freight in both directions, and the item comes back used.

  3. 03
Our competitor has the little AR button and we do not.

The button is the easy part. What decides whether it earns anything is which products get a model, how fast it loads, and whether the model is accurate enough to be worth trusting.

What you get

The catalog decision first, then the models, then the part that puts them in front of a shopper.

Which products earn a model

week 1

We go through your catalog and your returns reasons and name the products where judging scale or finish is the thing standing between a shopper and the order. Small familiar items usually do not make the list, and we say so before anyone spends on modelling.

Start with the free audit, not a sales call

We review your store with read-only access and send written findings: what is costing you orders, what it would take to fix, and what we would not touch. If the honest answer is that AR is not your problem, the audit says that.

We work with the tools your team already uses. And when you adopt something new, we manage the change.

Shopify Augmented Reality FAQs

Does the shopper need to download an app?

No. On an iPhone it opens in Safari through AR Quick Look, and on Android it opens in Chrome through Scene Viewer. The shopper taps the AR prompt on the product page and points the camera at the floor. Nothing is installed and no account is created.

Will 3D models slow the product page down?

Not if they are built properly. The model file loads when a shopper asks for it rather than on page load, and every model is held to a file-size budget. An unoptimized model dropped straight into a theme is the version that hurts, which is why the optimization step is not optional here.

What do you need from us to build a model?

Either the physical product, so it can be photographed from every side, or the CAD and 3D files your manufacturer already holds. Existing files are usually faster, but they nearly always need rebuilding for the web, because a file made for manufacturing carries far more detail than a product page can load.

Which products are actually worth doing?

Anything a shopper needs to judge in space or in the hand: furniture, lighting, decor, equipment, large or awkwardly shaped items, and anything where material and finish drive the decision. If your product is small, familiar and bought on price, we will tell you the models are not worth the money.

Do we need Shopify Plus for this?

No. 3D media and AR are part of Shopify and work on the standard plans with a current theme. What varies between stores is theme support, and handling that is part of the build.

Can our own team add models later?

Yes, and that is the intended end state. Once the first batch is live and the process is written down, adding a model to a new product is a task your team can own. We would rather set that up than sell you a permanent dependency.

Is your catalog worth modelling?

Send us the products you have in mind. We will tell you which ones a 3D model would genuinely help sell, and which ones it would not, before you spend anything on modelling.
